Our mission at when.in is to create a new vision for the mobile travel guide to help users "when.in rome, do as the romans do" wherever they find themselves in the world. Whether you are in Rome, Los Angeles, Paris or Peoria, when.in aims to provide you the best insight and guidance on where Locals go to eat, drink and play so you can have the best travel experience as possible.

when.in is currently in early beta where we are testing a few important categories such as Dining, Coffee and Bars. Many more categories, such as Events, Arts, Outdoors, etc..., are coming but we want to continue to test and tune against the first three before we release more over the coming weeks.

In this early stage, your feedback is highly valued and extremely important to us as we work to fulfill our mission to help travelers "do as the locals do" all around the globe. Please send us your comments, suggestions, likes, dislikes and suggested improvements through the beta community or directly via email through the "Feedback" channel on the app. It's with deep appreciation that we say "many thanks in advance" for taking the time to use and experience the app and letting us know how we are doing and what we can do better.

In the meantime, here are a few things to note about how to use when.in...

1. On each category you'll see a "Local Favs" and "Nearby" filter, this gives you insight into destinations most favored by Locals or closest to you. We know that sometimes you want to have a new coffee shop experience or you just need an espresso right now. Our filters give you the power to make the best choice for what's most important to you at that time.

2. We believe the "Local Favs" category should not only reflect where the Locals love to go but should highlight Local places that you can't find anywhere else. If you're looking for a Starbucks or other chain venue, just use the "Nearby" filter to find all the locations nearest to you to meet that need.

2. when.in knows your current location and runs all category listings and searches off of that location. It's easy to change location and see where the best places are to go in another city or neighborhood by tapping the location button in the footer navigation bar.

3. Use our Search feature for both broad searches like "Italian" or "Sushi" or specific menu items like "Cortado" or "Gluten Free"

4. Most importantly, now that we are kicking off the beta, we will be updating when.in on a very frequent basis to keep tuning the categories and the results the display, adding new categories and, of course, making improvements based on your feedback.

As part of the future when.in experience, we aim to make it easy for you to search, find, book and buy any service you need while on your journey. From restaurent and spa reservations to booking a hotel or tour or simply finding a taxi or train, we hope to make when.in the only app you need to have the best travel experience possible.
