Touch the graph and feel the power of the VECTOR! As you move around the graph, you directly alter the horizontal and vertical components of the vector, learning intuitively how these components interact to form a vector, and vice-versa. One minute of playing with the on-screen interactive vector mechanics will teach a deep intuitive understanding of what a vector is and how it relates to its components.

Plus, while Vectorama does calculate the component and magnitude/direction forms of the vector, it also displays the formulas and calculations so you can crunch the numbers yourself and check your answers!

Finally, perform basic vector arithmetic: addition, subtraction (addition of a negative), dot product, and cross product.

Directions:

- Touch the graph to manipulate the vector

- Pinch to zoom, or double-tap (origin = zoom in, edge = zoom out, elsewhere = fit)

- "Quad" button zooms to the current quadrant

- Precisely adjust individual components in the tabbed area at the bottom

- Numbered buttons nudge the vector at .01/.10/1.0 intervals

- Slider adjusts within the current range of the axes

- "Flip" button negates the current component when x or y is selected, and negates the entire vector (for vector subtraction) when r, theta, or "More" is selected

- "123" button toggles the numeric keypad (keypad: "+" = flip, "*" = set to 0.00, "#" = delete front digit)

- Also tap numeric readout at top to toggle numeric keypad

- MC = memory clear, M+ = add current vector to memory, M* = calculate dot product between current and memory vectors, Mx = calculate cross product between current and memory vector (vectors extended to 3D space with z = 0), MR = load the memory vector as the current vector

- Contents of memory are visible as a faint "ghost" vector on the graph
