The Unofficial UNSW Map App features:

- an offline map of the kensington campus

- lists of buildings, facilities and services, coffee shops, restaurants, ATMs and Banks on campus

- transportation guides

- a place to keep your timetable for easy reference

- an organiser so you can store deadlines and shows you key UNSW dates (requires internet connection)

The map of the UNSW kensington campus allows users to find themselves on the map using GPS.

The iPhones compass rotates the cursor showing the user's position, or the user can choose to have the map rotate instead.

There are images for a number of locations and GPS data so you can find your way to locations around campus.

Use the Map tab to browse the UNSW kensington campus. You can activate/deactivate GPS by pressing the button at the top right. You can also view an image of the COFA campus map (no GPS functionality)

Use the Location tab to find specifc buildings, theatres, services, accomodation, faculty offices, coffee shops, restaurants, shops and ATMs & banks. You will find images of buildings and you can view the location of a place on the map.

The transportation tab features a timetable for the COFA shuttle bus, and security shuttle bus. You can go directly to web-pages for UNSW Bus services and information about Metrobuses. The SMS 'Next Bus' Service allows you to click on a bus stop located around Kensington campus, and a text message will be generated which you can send to Sydney Buses. You will soon receive a text containing bus timetable information up to 30 mins into the future. This information can be calculated using bus GPS tracking (Sydney buses do this).

The timetable tab allows you to take a photo or use a photo from your phone library as your uni timetable.

The Organiser tab gives you access to useful UNSW web-pages. Also, the 'Course Deadlines' feature allows you to enter any deadlines you may have. You can view your deadlines in a list sorted by due date, and set reminders that will notify you that the deadine is due soon.
