The TryItOn-Online app is the only mobile shopping app that shows Shoppers how they will look in an article of clothing before making a purchase online. This app recommends a style that will flatter the Shopper’s body shape, a size that will be a good fit, and, she can actually see how she looks in it after swapping out the model's face with her own. The Shopper can create an account with TryItOn-Online, or log in with Twitter or Facebook. Once she is logged in, the app screens prompts the Shopper to select her body shape; enter her measurements; and upload a picture of herself from her iPhone or take a selfie. She selects a store from the app’s Mall screen and she is ready to go shopping! The app then takes her to the retailer’s website where she can search sale merchandise, new arrivals, or her favorite designer. When she finds a garment that she likes, she taps the item with her finger and it displays on the screen. She is now able to swap out the model’s face with her own and share her new look with friends on social media before making the final purchase.After she places her face on the clothing item, it is automatically saved to her Dressing Room. She can save items from different stores--all in one place--and access her Dressing Room at any time of the day or night, to revisit her selections or to make a purchase. (She can also save accessories to her Dressing Room—shoes, jewelry, belts, and scarves—by pressing the “heart” icon when viewing the item.) When the Shopper saves a garment to her Dressing Room, a “garment-tag” icon appears in the lower right corner. Pressing the garment tag is like accessing a personal shopper who has all the information about the Shopper's sizes and her body shape and knows whether the style will be a good look on her. The store’s name along with a link to their website appears at the top of this “garment-tag” screen along with a brief description of the selected clothing item. The app recommends to the shopper whether or not this item is a good look for the Shopper; “Cute! But let’s keep looking,” if it is not the best look for her body shape, or “Looks Good!” if the style is flattering to her body shape. The words “Your Suggested Sizes,” also appear on this screen, and when the Shopper taps that line of type, the app will recommended sizes for tops, jackets, sweaters, skirts, pants, dresses, and outerwear. Close out of this size screen and press “View Online” and that will take the Shopper to the retailer’s website where she can enter the recommended size and make the purchase.A Shopper who uses the TryItOn-Online app can purchase clothing online with confidence: the style she picks will flatter her figure and the size selected--based on her actual measurements--will be a good fit.
