Heroes On The Water was founded in 2007 by Jim Dolan, a former pilot in the United States Air Force. In less than three years, HOW has grown to be a nationally recognized non-profit group that gets wounded military veterans out into nature where they can enjoy the freedom, independence and fulfillment that only a day in the outdoors can provide.

The organizers of the Texas Music Throwdown have witnessed the dramatic positive influence that HOW has had on the lives of these brave servicemen and women, and when we asked ourselves what we could do to benefit this fantastic organization, the Texas Music Throwdown emerged as the answer.

If not for the selfless service of these courageous individuals, we would not enjoy the freedoms we have today, and it is our time to give back and say thanks...
