SoundOfTheCity makes your phone a noise measuring sensor. With the help of the microphone in your mobile we measure the loudness and show you how much noise you are exposed to. The measurements are uploaded to our servers and projected onto a map making you aware of how loud your environment is and crowdsourcing the act of making noise maps.
You can also record little snippets of noise and upload them to our servers to let people know how your city sounds.
SoundOfTheCity offers a noise-dosimeter that measures how much noise you have been exposed to.
