The classic party game, made simpler! This app replaces the deck of cards normally used to sort out roles when playing "Mafia."

To use this app, simply input the number of players, and then pass the device around to allow each player to view their role.

Mafia is a great party game to play with a group of friends. One of you takes on the role of the omniscient "narrator," who guides the players through day and night cycles. The rest of the players are assigned the roles of Mafia, Doctor, Detective, and Civilian, by using this app.

During the night, all of the players close their eyes and put their heads down. The narrator will call for the separate roles to awaken at night.

- "Mafia wake up! Point at one person to kill tonight." ... "Thank you, go back to sleep."

- "Doctor wake up! Choose one person to save tonight." ... "Thank you, go back to sleep."

- "Detective wake up! Guess if someone is Mafia or not" *narrator nods yes or no* "Thank you, go back to sleep."

- "Everybody wake up!"

During the daytime, the narrator will announce the events of the previous night, declaring who was killed or saved (preferably in gruesome and dramatic detail). Then, the people of the village must decide who among them might be guilty of being Mafia. Two players must be singled out as suspects, and then put to trial. During trial each suspected player gives an alibi, and then the rest of the players take a vote on who to hang.

Then the night/day cycle repeats until either the Mafia kill everyone, or the players exterminate the Mafia.

Of course there's a million different house rules to set the balance of the game. We encourage players to figure out what works for them. This app is a simple tool to replace the deck of cards that is traditionally used to assign roles.
