Mobile Presence for Lync monitors presence information on your smartphone and publishes it directly into any Lync Server 2010 or 2013 installation. Please observe that Lync Online (Office 365) is NOT supported.
The current availability is reflected on the application, and the users can also set their Lync status manually, including the note field.
The application adds some automation tied to the phone's state, such as the ringer state.
The following states are automatically pushed to the Lync server:
- Mobile Phone busy => Lync state will be set to "Busy" adding the text "[Mobile phone Busy]" to the note field.
- If the phone is muted (Also via speaker buttons) => Lync state will be set to "Do not disturb"
- If the phone is on vibrate (Also via speaker buttons): => Lync state will be set to "Away"
Some of the manual user states will also add a service text to the user note.
