LinkFix is a small utility app that fixes one of the annoyances with URL wrappers, especially those used by Twitter, by fetching the original URL and opening it directly.

One of Android's greatest features is Intents, which allows applications to open URLs. For example, if you have the YouTube app install and click on a YouTube link, it will give you the option of opening the video in the app, rather than in a browser.

The official Twitter app wraps all links in it's own URL wrapper, which breaks this Intent system because the URLs get opened by the browser.

LinkFix fixes this problem, allowing the Intent system to work properly.

LinkFix can also open Instagram and Ow.ly photos in a small popup window, which is quicker than opening them in a browser.

Hint: If you check the "Use by default for this action" option when prompted to use LinkFix, it will speed up the process of opening the links.
