EuCornea is delighted to be partnering its annual meeting in London with the ESCRS and EURETINA, creating a

unique opportunity for delegates to benefit from three excellent scientific programmes, establishing an educational

hub in the ExCel in September.

This collaboration has resulted in a joint symposium with ESCRS on ‘Corneal Cross-linking: Safety, Efficacy and the

Unexpected’, which will take place on Saturday morning.

The 5th EuCornea Congress promises to deliver an excellent programme, which includes world leaders in the field

of cornea and ocular surface disease. The programme will this year include eleven symposia, four courses and nine

free paper sessions. The highlight of the Congress is the Keynote Symposium - EUROKERATOCONOUS III ‘Current

controversies and hot topics in keratoconus’.

The Society has established a tradition of inviting the EuCornea President in the final year of term to give the

EuCornea Medal Lecture. Consequently, I am honoured, privileged and delighted to be giving a Lecture at this

Congress on ‘Deep Anterior Lamellar: the best keratoplasty option in Keratoconic eyes?’.
