We were in a financial funk and began to realize just how frustrating this whole investing race is. We knew our stocks were underperforming and were annoyed by the greed, complexity and ineffectiveness of the industry. So, what to do? Blindly trust a robo-advisor for unimpressive results? Pay through the nose for a financial advisor to put us in a one-size-fits-all box? Spend hours researching and trading ourselves?

It seemed simple. All we wanted were high returns, without a ton of work—and to live financially secure lives now, not in 40 years. We didn’t want anything lavish. Just peace of mind and happy lives—filled with adventure, nice restaurants and memories with the people we love most. So we partnered with our friend and reformed financial planner Jim Pearce to bring our vision—creating a transparent, effective and simple stock picking system—to life.
