Within A Mile, the Zeitgeist edition, is a simple and effective way to find places that are within a mile of your current location. Simply flick through the gallery of images and select one. The map will show your position as well as those of the places that match your selection. The icons are based on Google's Zeitgeit list of most searched places with a few additional types added. You can select a place mark to see the details and toggle the radius of the search to 5000 meters by selecting the last icon in the gallery.
