The Ultimate Quiz application aims to include all that is fun from a pub or trivia quiz.

Initial quizzes included in the application include general knowledge, review of 2012, geography, flags and mental arithmetic. Many more quizzes to be added soon

The application has two main modes, Solo Mode and Versus Mode.

Solo mode is primarily intended for people to exercise their trivia knowledge while on the move, while Versus Mode is primarily intended for playing together with friends and family.

An added bonus feature of the Ultimate Quiz application is that is uses the new Android DisplayManager API's (Android 4.2), so if you have a Android 4.2 device and you connect it either via HDMI or Miracast Wireless to an external display then you will see the questions/answers on the external display ... questions on the big screen, perfect for playing together!

Solo Mode quizzes are all 20 questions in duration. The questions are multiple choice and automatically marked. This shorter duration, automatic marked format is perfect for solo play. Never fear you don't have to complete the quiz in one session, answers are saved and only marked when the user is ready

Versus Mode quizzes are all 40 questions in duration.The questions are free text responses and are not automatically marked. In Answer mode the correct answer is shown and it is at the users discretion if it is right or wrong.Versus Mode is intended for the following types of scenerio

(1) Group play on same device, here you play with friends/family and collectively decide on your answer and enter into the device, in answer mode see how you have done!

(2) Group play on two or more devices. Here download the app on each device, decide which quiz to play, then when finished answering the questions switch to answer mode and swap devices and mark each other. An electronic version of the good old pub quiz!

(3) Solo Play, lastly of course you can attempt any Versus quiz on your own, although be sure to be honest with your marking!
