We mark off our birthdays, and the new year, but very rarely do we really have a sense of the value of a particular day, week, month, or even year.However, haven't you ever wondered to yourself "where did the day go?" or "how did that month fly by so quickly?". This is a common human experience and one that occurs mostly because it is not easy to maintain a simple image in our heads of the time we have.Well, this app presents a very simple time-based reference tool. There are two sides of this app. First, the "Time You Have Spent": All you do is enter your birthday and the app will tell you (in nice big font) exactly how old you are in year, months, weeks, and days. We refer to it as "Spent" because, well, time is a limited resource. This concept continues in the second section, "Time You Have Remaining". Here, you enter in the exact, precise day you will pass on - your final day in this life - and the "Remaining" section will present to you how many years, months, weeks and days you have left to spend. Choosing the day you'll die often elicits a response of "oh, how morbid". But this is not about morbidity. There is no fascination with death being pandered here. On the contrary, to really value life is to see it with eyes wide open, and what we spend our time on is the only true fabric of our lives. This is the first version of this app, but it's a concept we have long been utilizing in personal journals and web software.
