Liven up your Windows Phone home screen with random images taken from your FlickR photo stream or any public FlickR group photo stream.

TileR will show up to six live tiles, each with a photo randomly chosen from a selected photo stream. You can use the same photo stream on each tile or indeed choose different photo streams; it’s entirely up to you.

Tiles can be single or double sided. Single sided tiles show one image until it is changed, whilst double sided tiles have two images (one either side) and flip between the two.

The tiles will update approximately every half hour throughout the day giving a fresh look to your phones home screen every time you look at it. If you want to change the images manually you can simply tap the ‘Refresh’ icon and all tiles will receive new images within a few seconds.

FINDING A FLICKR ID

To access FlickR photo streams, you need to provide the user ID of the user or group. This is not your login ID. FlickR ID’s are in the format 12355565@N01. Follow these simple steps to get the FlickR ID:

1. Log into flickr on your computer

2. Go to your photostream and copy the URL which will look like this: http://www.flickr.com/photos/xxxxxxxxxx/

3. Go to www.idgettr.com and paste the URL into the box provided

4. Click ‘find’ to retrieve your user id. This is the number you need to enter into TileR

Finding a group id is just as easy, simply navigate to the group in flickr, copy the URL and paste into www.idgettr.com
