Welcome to The Activity Network! The fun new way to connect and exercise with people near you!

We have been working very hard over the last few months to create this great new app, and we hope you will find it useful and most importantly, that you ENJOY IT!

The idea for The Activity Network was born when I wanted an exercise partner. All my friends had left to go to university, and so I had no one to go with.

I didn’t want to go to a class on my own, as I was worried about not knowing anyone. And I also needed the motivation of someone else to help me get into a better exercise routine.

The last thing I wanted to do was plead for an exercise partner on Facebook or Twitter etc, as let’s face it, no one wants to look like a loner!

That’s when the ‘light bulb’ moment hit- We needed a way of connecting people who wanted an activity partner, and an app was the perfect way to do that.

My friend from university (and now my business partner!) had just finished making his own app, and so he brought the idea to life!

And so here we are, six months later, ready to launch our app! As you can imagine we are very excited, and so would love for people to take hold and come along for the ride!

So how does it work?

The app is FREE to download and FREE to use! (Wahoo!!)

Users will download the app and create a user profile, where they will tick their favourite activities (or activities they might like to try!) from a drop down menu. They will then be transported to a map, where they will be able to see pins of other users close to them who have registered interests in the same activities! Users will then click on the pin to use the in-app chat function, to discuss activities or to arrange to do them together!
