Conceived at the "Code for Good" Hackathon, this app was designed to spread the word about nonprofits and volunteering events to any users' friends. Our research and personal experiences showed us that repeatedly texting people about an event was the best way to raise awareness about it. This app has two features:
1. SMS feature: allows you to repeatedly send messages to your friends about a nonprofit of your choice. We found this feature to be useful in contacting our school's maintenance staff after they refused to respond to single requests. We believed that a similar strategy would work for contacting people about a non-profit.
2. Calling feature: allows you to call a random number in the United States and notify that person about a nonprofit event.
