Tired of constantly making decisions? If you're like me, you've worked hard all day and by quitting time, you're done making decisions, big or small.

So let's say after work you stop for a bite to eat. Ok, nice meal (hopefully) and good service and now comes the check. Great, now you get to make yet another decision.

How much to tip?

SHAKE-a-Tip, to the rescue!

SHAKE-a-Tip is designed to relieve you of the burden of deciding how much to tip. I don't mean the dollar amount, I mean the actual Percentage.

With SHAKE-a-Tip you simply enter the check amount, press the Start button, and shake your phone. When the phone vibrates or the SHAKE-a-Tip percentage is displayed (about 5 seconds) you’re done. "SHAKE-a-Tip” displays the tip percentage and calculates the tip amount and total.

That's one scenario. But, a better option (and this is really where SHAKE-a-Tip shines) is to totally remove yourself from the process and have your waiter or waitress "SHAKE-a-Tip" for themselves! They’ll be incentivized by the generous tipping schedule, it pays out between 12% and 33% in 3% increments. If that sounds a little overly generous on the high side to you well, it is, and you can blame me. I'm trying to build as much good Karma as I can. And no, it's not user selectable.

Now for a bit more detail.

The actual Tip Percentage is determined mostly by shaking the phone and the rest by a randomization formula. That means, harder more complex shakes tend to produce a larger tip. Share that information with your wait person at your own risk. A simpler way to think of it is this. The Tip Percentage is made up of Two Parts Skill and One Part Chance.
