A creative collaboration between The Heavy Projects (LA) and PublicAdCampaign (NYC), Re+Public is born out of a mutual interest in democratizing access to our shared visual environment. Re+Public uses emerging technology to alter the current expectations of urban media and accomplish our core mission of re+imagining public space. To this end, Re+Public's mobile device application digitally resurfaces walls and buildings in urban centers by overlaying digital content onto the physical environment. In doing so, Re+Public challenges our notions of private property boundaries and user access. It is our hope that the future city will come alive with the interests of the public in mind by opening access to our common walls in new and exciting ways.
