The current German-language issue of Qvest is the usual mix of fashion, culture and lifestyle; easy on the eye and easy to take in, even in its more serious moments -albeit with rather arched eyebrows- such as Patrick Krause's informative article on interesting strategies for residential real estate unfolding in Dusseldorf. Mr Krause's insight is given another eye-catching outing in this issue too in the form of an article on Saint-Tropez's immortal place in the history of hedonistic luxury as the birthplace of the international jet set of the post-war era. It's an ethereal exercise in contemporary luxury floating to the surface through a haze of time-aged colours. On the menswear front, Lukas Spitaler's very direct shoot takes the Viking looks of model Berthold Rothas and reinvents then as a contemporary dandy in an equally luxurious selection of brands. And, for those who have more than merely a visual interest in fashion, there's a telling interview with Marios Schwab, the expatriate talent who has been making a name for himself ever since basing his operations in London.
