Ortho Consents: Spanish & English has been developed by Rasika Jain DDS Inc. The purpose of this App is to assist Orthodontists and general dentists in providing orthodontic services to their Spanish speaking patients in a language that is more easily understandable to them. Orthodontic treatment for Spanish speaking patients is often translated by staff, children or other family members who have little understanding of orthodontic treatment. Legally acceptable consent requires a meeting of the minds. If a patient or a parent who does not either speak, read or write in English, signs an English consent form, that consent is disputable.
