Our Lady of Lourdes’ Music Ministry prepares and leads the congregation for worship by praising and glorifying God through a variety of musical arrangements. The musical styles include traditional hymns, contemporary Christian music, spirituals, gospel and jazz among others. The music ministry is comprised of adult and youth choirs.Under the direction of Dr. Kevin Johnson, the choir reaches the church community and the community at large. The adult choir often sings at additional celebrations and liturgies throughout the Archdiocese including the annual Martin Luther King celebration, concerts and the Eucharistic Congress. The choir has also sung before national and international audiences.In 2007, the adult choir embarked upon a pilgrimage to Italy with the Atlanta Catholic Inspirational choir and performed at several venues.The choir is open to all who desire to serve the parish through the ministry of music.
