Some babies stay in the NICU for just a day or two and then they are ready to go home. The THRIVE Infant-Family Program LET’S TALK APP is intended for families whose infant(s) are born too soon and also for families with medically fragile babies who may require surgery and typically have a longer stay in the NICU. Our APP is intended for educational purposes only and is not meant to replace psychological assistance. We encourage all NICU families to seek professional help for their stress while they are in the NICU.Your hospital will have local resources for you. Our vision is to understand the emotional development of the infant from the beginning, to facilitate communication in the infant-caregiver relationship, and to provide an environment for infants to thrive.
