Christine Bryden was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in 1995 when she was just 46 years old. In November of 2003, Christine and her husband were invited to Japan and she gave lectures in Okayama and Matsue. It is extremely rare that people with dementia are able to describe what they experience in their own words. We encourage you to listen to Christine’s words as if they were the words of a loved one, friend or someone close to you who suffers from the same disease.

In part one, we will learn how the individual diagnosed with dementia and their families are affected by the initial diagnosis. Then, we will attempt to identify the necessary support and care we can provide for a family member or loved one with dementia.
