"Coccinelle" is French for "Ladybug". In this game, you can watch Lady Bug hunt for aphids on her own, or you can feed her yourself. But watch out for Mr. Frog! If Lady Bug grows large enough, Mr. Frog will stop chasing her and both will compete for aphids. Enjoy!

DIRECTIONS:

Tap the screen to spawn an aphid. If you tap Lady Bug or Mr. Frog, they will eat the aphid immediately. You can also touch and move all three characters around the screen. When Lady Bug or Mr. Frog gets eaten, shake your device to re-spawn in a random location. The display indicates the number of times Lady Bug and Mr. Frog eat each other. Have fun!

Since recently becoming interested in app development, I have been learning to make apps by going through various tutorials. This is one of my first apps. It's really just a prototype right now. I realize it lacks some basic app features, and it has not been extensively tested on a variety of devices, but I welcome your critique nonetheless.

It was inspired by a tutorial called "Ladybug Chase". Since I was developing on a Nook HD+, which does not include an orientation sensor, I had to work out alternate methods of interacting with the on-screen action. In the process of making the app, I learned a lot about creating the different behaviors for the characters, as well as a little bit about editing graphics. I hope you like it!
