Dear Learner,

Welcome to First Steps British Sign Language, Step Two. This “First Steps” series consists of 3 applications, step 1, step 2 and 3. Together they form the vocabulary needed for a good level one standard of BSL, and will enable you to communicate with a native BSL user on a range of simple everyday topics such as Family, Transport, the weather, Time etc.

The series is designed for complete beginners and false beginners. Whether you have recently joined a class, are thinking about doing so, would like to refresh your signing skills or wish to learn independently, these apps will take you through all the level one basic material.

In each section you will learn new vocabulary and then see a conversation incorporating it and/or someone signing information about themselves using vocab from the section.

Due to the high quality videos we have had to split these into two applications per step.
