Angel Care - Breast Cancer Foundation is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization founded in 1997 by Jan Harris, a breast cancer survivor. Our mission is to “provide outstanding emotional support to those newly diagnosed with breast cancer helping to empower them to wellness”.Breast cancer survivors attend training programs as Volunteers to develop skills and understanding as they provide the one-on-one support.The services enhance the experience and lessen the impact of going through the cancer treatment without the benefit of someone who knows the challenges of the treatment journey.Sensitive and caring services are unique in the Greater Puget Sound Region and provided at no fee.Research has shown the importance of emotional care for cancer patients, and, in our culture, that's even more empowering for breast cancer patients.Our volunteers, breast cancer survivors themselves, empower the newly diagnosed as they struggle for survival, enhancing their emotional recovery while still going through treatment. We hope to reduce the fear that surrounds breast cancer to a level where it motivates toward wellness instead of paralyzing with fear.On our App you will find...1.
